Food Access

Food Access

We are dedicated to making sure that our offerings are available to all community members. We take cash, checks, debit, credit, and EBT cards. We  participate in two coupon programs that promote food security.

We distribute and accept Crop Cash. Crop Cash is a program administered by the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont. With this program, the market is able to match up to $10 of money redeemed (at the market manager’s table) from an EBT card with an additional $10 of crop cash. For example – if you redeem $5 from your EBT card, you will receive  an additional $5 in crop cash coupons. Similarly, if you redeem $10 from your EBT card, you will receive an additional $10 in crop cash coupons. You can receive up to $10 in Crop Cash at each weekly market. Crop cash coupons may be used to purchase the following: fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and edible plant seeds/starts.

Many of our vendors also accept Farm to Family coupons. Farm to Family is a program run by the Vermont Department of Children and Families. We do not distribute the Farm to Family coupons at the Market. These coupons are distributed by the Department and are brought to the market by customers who receive them after they are determined eligible by the Department. Farm to Family coupons may be used to purchase the following: locally-grown fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and fresh-cut herbs.
